Vera (Alex Cole) and Ryan (Isaiah Maxwell), a happy married couple, talk about how excited they are trying to get pregnant. They discuss potential names for their future bundle of joy, first jokingly coming up with silly sentences. But then Ryan gives Faith a book of names as a gift, and she is deeply moved by this sweet gesture. She asks him if he thinks she will be a good parent and he assures her that she will be amazing. He also adds that he will be by her side, so no matter what happens, they can handle it together.
Several weeks later. It becomes clear that Ryan is dead, and Faith is in grief. She receives a message from Chris, Ryan’s brother, but doesn’t answer. Faith finds a book of names and reads the inscription on the obverse that Ryan wrote: “Vera, if anyone can do it, you can! Let’s do it. – Ryan. She memorizes text from Chris and gets an idea by sending him a message asking if she can come. Later that day, Faith appears at Chris’s house, where it is revealed that Chris (Isaiah Maxwell) is Ryan’s twin.
Inside, Faith reveals the reason she came to Chris: she wants him to impregnate her with joy that Ryan never had. After all, Chris is the closest Faith is to Ryan’s genes. Chris is stunned by the offer, indicating that he and Ryan are different people. But Vera is determined to fulfill the last wish of her deceased husband, no matter what.
